Markus Mok
Founder, owner, CEO – but far from ordinary. Exhibitions are in his blood. As a young man, he roamed the halls of EuroShop, the world’s largest retail trade show – founded by his grandfather, Professor Henksmeier. What began as youthful curiosity has become a clear mission: to create spaces that make an impression – for companies, individuals and institutions alike.
For over twenty years, Markus Mok has helped shape the world of exhibitions and events – with a sharp eye for the big picture, a fine sense for detail, and a wealth of experience that speaks in numbers and in attitude: hundreds of projects, close to 1 million square meters of exhibition space – planned, built, lived.
Since 2010, he has been a key member of the executive team at EXEV GmbH, and instrumental in building its reputation as one of Germany’s leading full-service providers for live communication. With a strong academic foundation in communication studies and business administration, and an international mindset shaped by his education in the USA, he speaks business English at a native level.
He draws inspiration from travel – and motivation from sport. From functional training to golf, from the southern tip of Africa to the Andes: movement and discovery are constants in his life. He prefers challenge to comfort, and culture over convention. He finds value in experience – and in understanding. And he’s convinced: experiences resonate when they’re created with purpose. That’s what drives him.
